(사)수중환경과학협의회와 충청씨그랜트(국립충남대학교)는 지난 2025년 9월, 기후에너지환경부 산하 금강유역환경청의 승인을 받아 람사르 협약 등록 해안사구습지(Coastal dune wetlands) 인 충청남도 태안군 신두리에 위치한 '두웅습지'에 대한 생물다양성 조사를 시작하였습니다.

본 후원 국내 자연습지 생물종 보존 연구를 위한 기본적이고 필수적인 단계이며, 앞으로도 정부와 민간 협력을 통해 자연환경과 수중생태계 보전을 위한 노력을 지속해 나갈 것입니다.

In September 2025, The Underwater Environmental science Council (UEC) and Chungcheong SeaGrant (Chungnam National University) received approval from the Geumgang River Basin Environmental Office under the Ministry of Climate and Environment to begin a biodiversity survey of the Duung Wetland in Sinduri, Taean County, South Chungcheong Province, a representative coastal dune wetland registered under the Ramsar Convention. This sponsored project is a fundamental and essential research step toward conserving species in Korea's natural wetlands. Going forward, the government and private sector will continue their efforts to preserve the natural environment and aquatic ecosystems.
